"Tentation" 2023 is our "Prestige" Saumur white, certified organic (FR-BIO-01) and High Environmental Value (HVE3). What can be said about the first vintage of this cuvée, selected in 2026 as a "Grand Vin" by Bettane + Desseauve with a score of 91/100 (Guide published in September) and a Gold Medal at the Grands Vins de France in Mâcon competition ? A quintessential Chenin Blanc, harvested and meticulously hand-sorted, this Saumur white was crafted with honesty and precision following a meticulous selection process in the Domaine's "Les Garennes" plot. It was aged for 12 months in new French oak barrels, rigorously chosen for the exceptional finesse of their oak influence. The wine is brilliant, a crystalline yellow with golden highlights. The nose is elegant and expressive, blending floral notes with aromas of white and yellow fruits. Hints of tropical fruit, ripe citrus, and white currants are also present. A touch of menthol is complemented by lightly roasted notes. On the palate, the attack is refined and luscious, with a texture that combines freshness and roundness. The aromatic profile is enhanced with lemony and lightly buttery toasty nuances. A persistent finish. Serve between 10 and 13°C with seafood, scallops, fish in sauce, cheeses, and of course, as an aperitif.lightly toasted brioche notes. The palate offers a pleasant, tangy freshness where the entire aromatic palette previously mentioned is delicately and intensely present, enhanced by lemony and lightly buttery toasty nuances; it unfolds into a pleasingly long finish . Serve between 10 and 13°C with seafood, scallops, fish in sauce, cheeses, and of course, as an aperitif.
